Tim and I went to see MJ's movie, "This Is It" last night and I have to say I was quite impressed. I have new found respect and admiration for his creative talent. The only negative I have about the whole movie was the length. It could have been about a 1/2 hour shorter, but all in all it kept my attention the whole time. That was a great feat in and of itself, being that we went to the 10:15 movie and I am normally in bed by 10:00. It was great to see the King of Pop in action. The way he moved, made it so very hard for me to believe he was 50. He moved like a teenager and kept me dancing and singing the entire time. Watching the movie also made it so hard to think that MJ is actually dead. I really believe he was taken too soon. I was not a fan of MJ as a person, but his music and dancing abilities were like none other. Genius, pure Genius!

Flat Out Wrong

I'm really upset at the filmmakers of "Slumdog Millionaire" for not stepping up and helping the 2 children who were in the film, Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail (pictured above). Rubina & Azharuddin's homes, if you can even call them that, were demolished a few weeks ago. Attached is an article I read about what the filmmakers are doing to help. In my opinion, they're not doing enough! I know that any help should be thought of as gracious, but when a film makes $326 million and you give the families of the children a mere $100 thousand, something is flat out wrong with that.

View of the movie, "Nights in Roadanthe"
After reading Nights in Roadanthe by Nicholas Sparks, I was so looking forward to the movie with Richard Gere and Diane Lane. Much to my dismay, I didn't really care for the film.
Have you read the book? Have you seen the movie? What was your take on the movie?

I can't wait to see Angelina's new movie Changeling. It's based on a true story and from the following trailer, it looks like it could be a great Oscar winning movie.

High School Musical 3 Trailer
The theme of Laura's Birthday Party this year is High School Musical. How fitting is it that the movie comes out the day before her party? Had I known that, which I guess I would have if I had done my homework, I would have planned a party at the movie theater. Wouldn't that have been a brilliant idea? Oh well, it's going to be fun anyway ~ atleast we still have the theme.

Nights In Rodanthe
Well, during Hurricane Ike, I've finally gotten the chance to finish the book I've been reading. It's called "Nights in Rodanthe", by Nicholas Sparks. I have to say it was a great book. Since the movie is coming out on September 26th, I'm not going to give anything away about the book. However, I bet it will be a MUST SEE! The movie, stars Richard Gere and Diane Lane. It may be more of a chick flick, but it could entice a few men as well.
