The Polar Express

We took Laura on The Polar Express train ride in Palestine this weekend. The ride is as close to the movie as you can get. When you get to the station, and are standing in line the conductor yells out "ALL ABOARD". We get on the train, take our seats and enjoy our cookies and Hot Chocolate on the way to the North Pole. Once arriving at the North Pole, we saw where Santa lived with all the elves. The Conductor asked us all for our tickets and proceeded to stamp a "B" in each of them. Then we thought it was time to head back to the station, when guess who arrived? Santa!!! Santa came on board and handed out bells from the reindeer to each of the children. Laura's eyes were lit up the entire time. All of the children were dressed up in their PJ's, slippers and robes. It was one of the most magical moments I can remember. Anyone who has a chance to do it, please do. It's well worth it. During the ride, the cooks are all dancing and singing in the aisles. They also read the book before arriving at the North Pole. It was truly amazing.

WHOA!!!

I had no idea Barack had all of this behind that suit!

My heart aches.

My heart simply aches for this little girl, Caylee Anthony. I can not believe that anyone could ever do this to a child and if evidence proves that her mother is the one that did it, it makes it that much sadder.

It seems today that they have identified the remains found last week to be that of Caylee Anthony. Such a sad day.

Why is this woman being so nonchalant?

This lady just kills me. She is acting like this is not a big deal and it is!

How cool is this?

Bird does some tricks

Tell that to the cow!

Video of the event on YouTube shows the brown-and-white cow being knocked to the ground by the plane's lower left wing. The two-seater was damaged but landed safely.

An accident report said the cow was "apparently uninjured."
MY THOUGHTS ON THAT IS TELL THAT TO THE COW, uninjured my you know what!

Wotton said he might paint a cow on the plane to mark the event.
He says: "I have to say it is the first cow I have ever hit in 22 years' flying."

What is going on?

The previous post is about a gondola collapsing in Brittish Columbia and I'm going skiing in a few weeks.

Now this...

Trains collide and fall into the Mississippi River. The irony behind this story is that we're taking Laura on the Polar Express Ride this weekend. First the gondola, now a train. What is going on? Maybe we should just stay home.

Ski Gondola crashes in Brittish Columbia

OK, I'm going skiing in 2 weeks, so it makes me nervous when I hear something like this. This will also be Laura's 1st Ski Trip and she is very excited. I don't think I should show her any of this.

Really Bad.

This was really bad. I'm not a Kanye West fan at all, but I do really like this song. He doesn't need to sing it live though. Stick to the recording studio.

Ouch, then WOW!!!

Watch as this motorcyclist falls off his bike, then chases his bike down and jumps back on.

Not a good day for Bush.

Shoes thrown during press conference in Iraq.

Laura's trip to see Santa

We were able to see Santa this afternoon. Laura was really excited to give him her list this year. She's gotten a lot better than when she was a little thing, when she used to ball when she even saw Santa.

Is age just a number?

Should a 70 year old give birth as this woman did? Is age just a number when it comes to this topic?

Warm climate Christmas'

Is it hard to get into the Holiday spirit if you live in an area with warm climate?

H.O.P.E.

Here are a few tips on Holiday Office Party Etiquette.

1.) Don't pitch ideas, keep your conversations to lighter subjects.
2.) No brown nosing.
3.) Use table manners.
4.) If drinking alcohol, make sure to have 4 appetizers for every drink you have.
5.) Dress appropriately.
6.) Don't arrive too late and don't leave too early.
7.) Thank the person who invited you.
8.) Make sure you know if spouses or significant others are invited.
9.) Remember ~ this is still work.

Now go out there and have some fun, just not too much fun.

Nostalgia

The Electric Company made Stephanie and I come up with lots of other shows we used to watch as kids. Too funny!

Anyone remember Schoolhouse Rock?
How a Bill becomes a law.

Conjunction Junction.

What about Land of the Lost?
Land of the Lost Theme Song

Mister Rogers?
Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood.

Was that great television, or what? They need to bring back some of these Oldies But Goodies.

What are some of your favorite kids shows?

Did anyone ever watch The Electric Company?

This is so funny looking back at things I used to watch as a kid.

Bless her heart...

Basically, it's southern slang for "she didn't know any better". Parts of Britney's documentary make me really sad for her. Her world is "all she's ever known" and to Britney, "it's not weird at all". Looking from the outside in, it seems like a very strange and chaotic life that she lives.

Did anyone happen to watch it this past weekend?
